Curious to see if anyone has done their own. And if they had any hints or helpful tricks. Im gonna hit 150 by this time next year. Ans being a former svt focus owner i want to be proactive about getting it done on time

I youtubed a video on it. Didn't look that bad. Though the guy in the video was replacing the PMM at the same time which made it easier to get to everything. Pretty sure it can all be done from under the car and under the hood with a second set of hands.

I will have mine done at a dealer.
I've never been a fan of belts. I did it on my Ford escort twice. I replaced a handful on different vehicles. I have no desire to buy any special tools. It's basically a one-time expense that's how I see it, and it takes all the liability out of the equation. Also these engines were in the escape and fusion so a dealer tech can probably do this in his sleep.

Of course I would gladly help somebody do it on their own vehicle. I just don't like doing that type of stuff alone.

Not on my ST however, on my 2011Fiesta SES, I did it when changing the cams.
It was not that bad as long as you have the tools from Ford to maintain the proper timing.

Massive speed system offers the timing tools. Used their tools on my focus without a failure.

I am sure there are other tool sets available now.
When I bought mine Ford was the only game in town.
Also the only instruction available was the Ford service manual.
Today, info should be more plentelfull.
