Does using a different 5w20 oil other than the motorcraft brand void your warranty?

No. They can not void your warranty if you use a different brand of oil. Same with the filter. The Motorcraft filter is a great filter though so I see no reason to use anything else.

Let me clarify a bit. If it meets the required Ford spec (WSS-M2C945-A) they can't deny a warranty claim.

They would have to prove that the oil caused the issue and they would have to prove that it wasn't the right oil. For oil, if you had to produce a receipt to prove you used the proper oil because Ford says you didn't, any lawyer would have a field day with that.
