Door sills on 4-door ST

Hi all

Purchased a 2017 Fiesta ST-3 in December of last year and so far really loving it.

A friend who used to have an ST asked me out of the blue whether the door sill protectors worked, I asked what they meant and I learned that the silver "ST" plates are supposed to light up red - needless to say mine do not.

I heard that these sill protectors commonly break and stop lighting up, so I was just wondering if the four-door version of the ST has sill protectors actually light up? Is the body of the car so different that it doesn't have the illuminated plates?

I think I'm a few months out of warranty now, but if anyone knows how I could go about fixing these, please let me know

I think the lighted sills were an option, and yes, a lot of them go out. I don't know how to fix them.

The lighted sills were Europe only, weren't they?

They were an accessory....no longer available....Did NOT COME FACTORY * had to be purchased after buying the vehicle. Here is the thread.

Yeah I think so, but the car was produced in Europe as I'm in the United Kingdom
