Driver side door rattling

My driver side door panel has developed a pretty severe rattle. I think it might have something to do with the cold, because it didn't start until we had that cold snap last week with temps in the teens. The weird thing is I've noticed that the window drops down for some reason on its on, and if I raise it back up, the rattle stops. However, today I had to drop the window a pinch to get rid of the rattle. Anyone else with this problem?

It's your window regulator. It's fairly common on a slew of vehicles. My car has had a slight rattle from drivers door since it was a month old. When I play bassy music it rattles. Also u can hear the difference when u close the drivers door and passenger front door. Passenger front closes with a nice thunk while the drivers has a bit of a clang. If you still have factory warranty they will cover this mods or not. If you're out of warranty you can remove the door trim panel and see if a screw came loose and retighten it. It may be plastic in which case the cold weather made it brittle and when u closed it could've caused it to shatter. Hope this helps.

Awesome. I'm still in the 3/36 warranty. I'll have to try and get it in. Worse case, I'll get some rubber door trim, and put it in the edges. Only 24k miles and the interior is already falling apart.

Yeah. The strange thing is I don't put my window down, but twice I had to put it back up. Hell, one day, I had to actually put it down a hair to stop the rattling.
