I picked these up Saturday. It was a LONG 3.25 hr drive there, but I had some Bojangles chicken. It has probably been 20 years since I had theirs. I also hit up two small-town Goodwill Thrift stores on the way back and got some work shirts (polo style) and lights for my music studio. There is zero curb rash. I gave them a quick wash and snapped a couple pics. I'll have them blasted and repainted. I'm not sure what color I'll go with, but something like Gloss black, gunmetal, black chrome, or something else dark. Any suggestions? My car is magnetic grey.

6.5Jx16, ET49.5, (orig tire size 205/55ZR16) I'll get the H&R 5mm concentric spacer kit bringing it to 44.5. Same bore 63.4

Go crazy with the color. Neon yellow?!
Why pay money to be boring?

Neon Pink...lol I want something different, but don't want to stick out too much. At least not to law enforcement folks. I bought the rims to have something different. That is why we have the car, modify it and love it. I'm not crazy in love with the SVT wheels, but I am with 5 spoke. I'm old school like that. I had black 5 spoke w/polished lip EMC brand HOT WHEELS RED LINE on my Volvo wagon....they looked bad as hell... now THAT was something different!

Wait, ORANGE SPICE! But actually, now that I think about it....the color I wanted the car to be and was only available in the poser st LINE was the Hot Pepper Red. To me, it looks orange. Then it looks red. Then it looks both, then neither. It all depends on the lighting/sun. That would be a unique wheel color...okay, who was the photoshop guy to do the candy purple wheels for the other user? I would love to see the HPR color on my wheels.

or perhaps I could borrow his pic here and have it shopped:

Been curious about CSVT wheels, OP did you ever get them painted and on? Any chance they’re hub centric?

Match the wheels and paint them Magnetic.

The wheels are still in the garage. I just bought a fifth one on ebay for a spare. Lots of potholes that bend wheels here...(bent all 4 on my volvo, 2 one side and then 2 years later the other side)

Same bore diameter. 63.4

I've been super busy, still working and always lots to do...tbd on color too. NOT silver.

UPDATE: I am taking them in for powder coating. I found a fantastic price up past Philly. $75 for single app colors,. https://boneheadperformance.com/ It all comes down to color choice. I have the Magnetic and prefer darker colors such as black, gun metal and blues. No silver, gray, yellow, orange, purple, pink, etc. Maybe red or white, maybe.

I just wanted to hear a few more preferences/suggestions (NOT your fav, but what would look good on these wheels on this vehicle)

Here are the custom colors:

Blacks https://boneheadperformance.com/color-charts/boneheads-custom-colors/?catalog_page_9=5
Blues https://boneheadperformance.com/color-charts/boneheads-custom-colors/?catalog_page_9=6
Reds https://boneheadperformance.com/color-charts/boneheads-custom-colors/?catalog_page_9=3

My favs:
Wet High Gloss Mirror Black- 99% Gloss (both in daylight and both are the same deep black and high gloss)

Lollypop Red

Candy Blue

Mirror Blue

Mirror White

WHAT SAY YOU FISTERS? Not YOUR fav, but what would be overall appealing on a Magnetic Grey car with THESE wheels?

I have no idea what YOU like, but I can tell you that place does phenomenal work, whatever color you decide on. [twothumb]

IF I decide to keep my 17x8 1.2s, and dump the gloss black color for a satin black, or a deep 'Speedline rally wheel' gold, THAT is the place (about 35 minutes south of me) which is getting my business. [wink]

But, I will say that wet high gloss mirror black is about as close to the Enkei SBC as anything I've seen, which is not actual SBC, which is cool. [cool]

Honestly I think you need a bright accent to offset the more muted grey body. I’d personally avoid those particular medium shades of blue/red that you’ve shown above because you’re already rocking a medium version of the monochrome: grey.

More monochrome would be the easy answer. Black/white/grey never clashes with anything. IMO it’s also never really exciting.

You could use a splash of something... be it baby blue, lilac, bright red, neon green, something fluorescent or pastel that’d be up to you. As far as the actual shade goes, I think it should be whatever your favorite color is, but just pick a bright version of that color. So if you really like that medium blue, go with a baby blue or some sort of sea foam green.

I personally think that YOUR wheel color would look great on our Magnetic cars (with the correct color 'accenting' to match), but I am not 'daring enough' to drive around here with that color. [:)]
I am also not sure it would look as good on a 5 spoke wheel.

Look for powder @ prismaticpowders

Link below

https://www.prismaticpowders.com/?g...eLJJE67ePKrDmb5O-oH_zJdMFZ_BpItRoC8RAQAvD_BwE

Then use their locator to see if they have a Vendor/applicator in your area. I use their powders and like them very much! Good luck....im sure what ever color you choose will be sweet!

I’m in love with this idea

Although I may have just replaced that with this as a better choice:

Yeah, I don't want to draw too much attention. I want it to pop, not explode, lol.

I like the prismatic powders too.

I drop them off tomorrow afternoon and I'm still not set on color....ugh

I love the first the mirror gloss black. I have a Magnetic FiST as well, that would be my first choice. Black looks great, not a fan of silver on that color either.

Sites got a lot of good looking options. Monochrome is way overdone. That said it is your car, it should be your decision.

I chose a metalflake overcoat on a dark blue type color. I bought a fifth wheel as a spare that just arrived and I have to ship it to them, so they will not be ready until mid-Aug at the soonest. I'll reveal them then with pics...lol

In the meantime, I'm looking at tire sizing again. Damn, I have read almost every single post in the wheel and tire threads. We shortly discussed this before, but not in great detail. I have been to willtheytfit.com, wheel-size.com/calc/ and tiresize.com to compare.

The rims are only 6.5x16 ET49
I desire to maintain speedo readings.
I desire to maintain as much performance as possible.
I desire a little less harshness.
Daily driver, no tracking.
I will be getting all season, not summer tires.
Expense is a factor.

SPACERS
5MM will maintain stock studs and go from 8 to 6 turns (according to another member)
10 or 15 will required stud replacement, but helps the wheels poke further out.

no spacer - 49mm inner rim is 4.3mm further away from the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 8.3mm less than before.
5mm - (44net) inner rim is 9.3mm further away from the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 3.3mm less than before.
10mm - (39net) inner rim is 14.4mm further away from the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 1.7mm more than before.

TIRE OPTIONS
size sidewall height width
factory 82 23.5 8.1
205/45 92 23.3 8.1
215/45 97 23.6 8.5 (less tire options)
205/50 103 24.1 8.1
