On several occasions I've seen the climate do things automatically which i cant explain. On a few occasions the climate control turned on and activated the ac. I know it was off because i turn it off as i had the windows down. Other similar things have been the ac would turn on even if i turned it off (fan still set to off) pretty sure i also seen the fan turn from auto to manual. Not too concerning but freaky none the les.

Loose connection on a button? I have not done any work in the dash.

Hi CanadianGuy,

Have you visited a dealer to diagnose the issue yet? Also, could you provide me with the current odometer reading?

My Fiesta Titanium started out doing weird stuff like that and now it's doing the auto climate control clicking thing.. I've read on other forums about this clicking thing, nothing serious but annoying none the less.. I haven't had a chance to get it back to the dealer to get it fixed...

I got about 6000km I was going to wait until I have other reasons to visit the dealer if it is an issue.

Understood. Please let me know if you decide to schedule an appointment, and I'll gladly look further into it to see how I can help.

Seems like you should name your car Motoko Kusanagi.

Mine does the same thing. It only happens occasionally and when it does I just switch it back off and it goes away.

Current mileage is 10035 and this happens once or twice a month. I will update if i find a cause.

Hi kevinatfms,

Has this occurred again since your post? I want to check out some options.

Well I may have figured it out. Watching some of the videos on the owners.ford.com site it goes in details about the Climate control. It states that the AC will turn of automatically if the environment is humid to help defog the windows. Now I know!

I did a short shift install yesterday and also bought an Accessport. Now my AC is wacky! It's always blowing freezing cold air. Heat won't come on unless temp is set to "high" and the fan blows hard. It's 59 outside and I have the car set to 75 and you'd think you put it on max AC or something... Fan full blast with cold air coming out. I did disconnect the MAF while I was hooking up the shift plate. Is this something that happens often?
