Scrap it. If the engine and drivetrain are salvageable, they're worth money. You can save and sell anything that still works.

Description of that event reminds me of a time I was approaching a three-way on a back street.
Driver up ahead in the oncoming lane was stopped waiting to make his left.
I see the kid waiting.
Look down for a second and as I start to look back up I can already see him trying to muscle this old boat through the intersection out of my peripheral vision.
I'm already slamming on the brakes before I even looked all the way up.
Totally the kid's fault but I feel like I may have made the stop in time to avoid the T-Bone if I hadn't looked down for a second.
There was someone waiting behind him in the oncoming lane so I could just go around him.
