Post your hot takes of all sorts here to discuss. I'll start...

While I love the design of the FiST, the best looking hatchback ever made is the Volvo C30, particularly the Polestar version.
Agreed. It's a shame the 2013 Polestar Concept didn't make it to production [emoji17]

It's always such a pleasant surprise when I see a C30 out and about. I forget it exists then I'm blessed by the beauty of it

There is one in that color/with those wheels running around here.
I've ALWAYS liked those cars, and viewed them as the modern, high performance 'take' on their old original P 1800 WAGON.

IF it were ever offered right from the factory with AWD (yes, I've seen the 'Concept' car), I might have to sell body parts to get into one. [wink] [driving]

Love me some C30 action.

Here's a hot take that isn't all that hot: the FiST exhaust note is awful. Only a handful of aftermarket exhausts sound at least decent and it seems like changing the turbo helps flesh it out a bit.

At the very least we can take solace in the fact that the FoST and FoRS don't sound good, either. Very poor job by Ford to not provide some more character.

Au contraire...I happen to think the FoRS sounds great stock, especially in sport mode with the pops on upshifts. And while the FiST is super quiet from factory, I think the tone is excellent. Granted, this is coming from me, who upgraded to the FiST from a 2005 Corolla

We can agree about the FoST though, it's the worst of both worlds, quiet and no character

A new exhaust is almost mandatory with the FoST if only to hear when to shift. Ford Racing has a nice sounding exhaust for it...so why didn’t it come with the car?!

Coming from a (third) Miata to this I couldn't hear a damn thing. I was shocked at how quiet everything was.

I don’t know ask Borla? I think Ford loved the sleeper aspect of the car. Even the Euro cars came with quite exhaust till the MK8.

I think the term sleeper is generally reserved for cars that can pull on an Odyssey from a dig.

Maybe the pre-facelift FoSTs look like sleepers, but the ones that came after look nice and mean. The Ford/Borla exhaust would have completed the package nicely.

I think you mean FiST’s. . you have typed FoST twice in your posts when were talking about FiST’s and there were no pre facelift FiST’s in the U.S.

I was talking about the FoST. That’s why I brought up the facelift.

Silly me for thinking you would rather be talking about the FiST because this is a FiST forum and you own one. lol
Ya I could care less about FoST’s and I realize that Business 6 and Dale did mention them but the hot take was about how horrible a stock FiST sounded.
Hot take the stock FiST does not sound horrible , it really has no sound! lol
Double Hot Take the sound symposer on the FiST sounds silly. lol

Yes you're butthurt, butthurt over nothing.

That's why you're so sensitive thinking people are sensitive because they see how sensitive you are.

I'll talk about FoSTs all I want and you can't stop me. Now you realize that, you can chill out and stop being so butthurt.

Best looking hatchback ever? Sierra RS Cosworth, by far. And since it was a product of the 80's they had pitifully undersized wheels, so when you lower them just a bit and put proper wide wheels on them they look incredible. I'd trade my FiST for one in a heartbeat, and I love my FiST.

For me, it is the hot RS hatch they released right after that one, yup, the Escort Cossie RS (the AWD system is just 'icing'!). [wink] [driving]

Even more so is the RS200, but those are so rare (and $$$$$$$) nowadays that they make the proverbial hen's teeth in a unicorn's mouth a common thing. [:(]
