Hubcentric Rings

I just ordered the new Konig Hypergrams and I have question that has probably been asked and answered more times than I can count, but my searching really didnt get me what I wanted. Especially since I will be one of the first with these wheels for our car.

How do I determine if I need to also grab some Hubcentric Rings?

73.1 is the answer. Is there a magic number that mean yes or no to hubcentric rings? With the only other three cars that I have modified, HC Rings where never even a thing I had heard of. I'm feeling real n00b today.

Stock hub diameter is like 63.4mm so rings would be ideal. I'm sure the tire shop you go to can verify for you as well.

FiST hub is 64 or 63.36. The center bore on your new wheel is 73.1 so you need to make the hole smaller. So you can get hubcentric rings that fill the gap, 73 to 64 or 73 to 63.36. I purchased the Gorilla ones on line, part number 73-6336 for, I think, under $10.

Thank you for the info! just hit the button on the Gorilla rings since I just got their lugs and locks too the other day.

You do, since those wheels have a 73 center bore (the ONLY single thing I don't like about them, besides not being offered in black!), vs. our factory hubs' 63.whatever bore.

Like JDG recommended, I would look for some ALLOY ones over the plastic variety, especially if you ever plan on doing any road course work with the car.

Here I go reviving an old thread. So the standard hub bore is 63.36, and you're saying the 64.1 also fits? Is there that much 'wiggle' room? I would much rather have something more robust than the plastic gorilla ones.

Absolutely not, 0.8 mm is significant. Where did I mention 64.1?

Wow I must be crazy, I could've sworn the link I opened had that number there, might have been a different link... Sorry for bad info. The link you posted shows 73.1mm OD to 63.4mm ID. I believe my wheels are Rota Grid Racing 16x7. I just picked up the car, and that's the only Rota Grid listed on their website in a 16x7, 4x108.
