Ipod issues after 2.2 update?

Hello:

Has anyone experienced losing the index of you music collection in your ipod after the 2.2 sync update??
I have an 160G classic. Its pretty old, so im gonna try another ipod i have to see if it does the same thing.
Any feedback or info would be appreciated.

is this why my whole nav unit is being slow and laggy? i didn't know there was an update

It was released about a month ago...i had to do mine by usb..if u received it by wifi..check the software version..new one is sync 2.2...however my car does not have navigation..
