Just upgraded intercooler and my cars turbosmart valve doesnt sound as strong when fluttering

Just finished putting my airtec stage 2 intercooler on my car and went for a test drive, took it easy was alright then gave it more power and when the turbo smart fluttered it wasnt as strong as it used to be but when i just let off the accelerator its strong and then all of a sudden sounds really weak when dumping, is this a issue i should be worried about or is it because the intercooler is just bigger and holds more air?

My brain hurts reading that. It's just as loud when you let off from a wide open throttle pull? Are you seeing the same boost pressure as before? There shouldn't be much difference if any. Might be a boost leak somewhere.
