So I’ve been talking with ADF Customs about their Fiesta ST skidplate (which it sounds like will probably be available again in a month or so), and mentioned the idea of an making an EVAP canister skidplate to them like the no-pistons one that was made years ago. Link for reference to the original: https://www.fiestastforum.com/threads/evap-canister-skid-plate.6376/

They basically said “yeah, we could do that, but we don’t have a Fiesta ST in the shop to do the design work on”.

I’d drop my car by in a heartbeat if I weren’t 1300miles away, so I’m asking here if anyone in the Denver area would be down for making this happen.

They essentially need to have the car in the shop to do the mock-ups/design with. Ideal would be dropping the car by their shop in Brighton and leaving it for a few days, but something else might be arranged if leaving it for more than a day isn’t practical.

So if anyone near Denver is interested in making an ADF Evap skidplate into a product, let me know here and/or PM me and I’ll put you in touch.

FYI, no idea yet on the price or timeline, but probably in line with their other products, and there’s no requirement for whoever drops their car by to buy the skidplate, as I’m in for one, and it seems like other people on here have been wishing for one as well

Also, if you’d be interested in buying one if we’re available, feel free to chime in so I can let them know there’s concrete interest, but this is not a group buy.

A lot of people would be fools to not want something like this. Its the reason why i got the Verus Rear splitter. Its functional and protects the Evap canister. Sounds like a group buy would be in order! I hope this comes to fruition. [driving]

Good to know there’s some interest.

On a side note, I also found out that because they’re just starting the latest run of (front) skid plates, if you email, for +$30 you can pick a custom powder coat color instead of just black/red. 🥳

i don't live in/near Denver nor know anyone with a Fiesta ST who does but i'm definitely interested in this EVAP skidplate. now if only ADF Customs could mod their front skid plate to work with the SWAVE&Summit 4 point subframe brace.

Someone on Reddit got o work with a Pierce 6-point just using rear spacers that were longer by an extra 3/4” and some weirdness with the rear attachments, I’m going to try the same with the Swave bar and Skidplate I have coming.

Some of the other skidplates available seem like they won’t work because they go farther back.

that is amazing news. yeah please keep the forum updated on your progress with that as i will most likely get one if there's proof it can work with a SWAVE 4 point brace.

The Swave/Summit stuff is much lower profile than the Pierce/etc. parts are, so that also helps a bunch. [wink] [thumb]

I've been using the adf skid plate for rallycross the last 3 years, would love to replace the old mudflaps I'm using now for a proper canister skid plate. I know a guy in Utah but not sure of anyone in Denver.

I wonder if we can get someone to send in their No Pistons evap shield one so they can get the dimensions of the mounting points. This way if we can't find someone to take their car in they can still get what they need.
