To bring this thread back from the dead:
I attended M1's inaugural cars & coffee this Saturday morning. The turnout was so much bigger than they anticipated that the staff was completely overwhelmed and unprepared for the amount of parking needed, so it was a bit of a $#!tshow actually entering or leaving. The cars themselves were a good variety, from a 1914 Model T to a Porsche 918 Spyder and everything in between. I saw the Deadhook guys from a distance but didn't get a chance to chat.
The facility itself still needs a lot of work. They've paved the track and hydroseeded the lawn, but there's plenty of construction yet to happen. Supposedly there's a "rent a supercar for a day" event in early August, and then an HPDE scheduled the day before their official opening on Aug 14th. Since the site used to be a car factory, there are zero trees or shade anywhere. As it stands it feels like a sand-pit with a sea of very black asphalt. I hope they can pull it all together in the next month and a half!
