So, I m on my second pump which just burned out yesterday. I have had it on the car for about 2 months spraying 100% meth. It has sat for maybe a month with meth in it and another few weeks with washer fluid. I am sending it in to AEM this weekend to get looked at and for warranty. Have any of you heard of meth killing a pump and killing a pump so soon? AEM says it could have been the meth. My question was then why do you market it as 100% meth safe? Anyway hope to hear from you guys. I know there are not many of us running meth.

First pump was out of warranty since I purchased it used.

I used to eat up Surflo pumps about every 4-6 months in my srt4 with a devils own kit. They would just warranty the pump. They claimed they were 100% meth safe, but clearly they were not. Since IMO is the entire thing with all the meth injection companies telling people 50/50 is better than 100%. 50/50 is incredibly easier for the pumps and seals to tolerate vs 100% meth. So they all sold surflo non-100% meth safe pumps, but they all marketed them as meth safe when they were not. But...: The AEM style pumps really changed that. It's a much much better style pump. And I have not personally seen one die yet ( while you clearly have now ). I'd say give AEM another chance with this pump. If it fails again, contact a company here in Florida called " https://www.alkycontrol.com ". Julio has been building truly 100% meth comparable pumps for over a decade. All the LSx and Buick GN guys use his kits because they have stainless lines and bullet proof operation.

The hardest thing you can do to a meth pump is let it go dry. Like say you use 100% meth for 2 months, then let the tank dry out, that is likely when the damage is happening. I try to always have at least 1/8 tank or more.

My AEM has been good to me so far though :)

Always keep tank filled because absolutely never want to run out lol. Anyway, pump is off and packaged up. Will be sending it off tomorrow. I'd expect results of what happened early middle next week.
