Hey guys,

with winter past us (for the most part), and race season preparations now under way, MFactory/YCW Suspension/SWIFT Springs are now looking for serious individuals to add to our marketing team!

the sponsored driver(s) will be responsible for helping us to promote MFactory/YCW Suspension/SWIFT Springs, in particular, our new range of coilovers: www.ycwsuspension.com

Why MFactory/YCW Suspension/SWIFT Springs?
For those of you whom are not familiar with YCW Engineering, we are the parent company for MFactory (LSD's, Axles, Clutches, Flywheels etc). Whilst MFactory is but a "brand", YCW is the engineering company behind it all, with our own in-house manufacturing facility in Taiwan with several million dollars worth of specialist CNC and Measuring/Diagnosis Equipment.

You're probably wondering why/how a Drivetrain company can develop and manufacture Coilover Kits? Well, the majority of the components that make up a Coilover Kit are machined (which is where we excel over other Coilover brands due to our in-house manufacturing experience), so not only do we do the final assembly of our Coilover Kits ourselves, we machine all of the "machined" components ourselves (and those familiar with MFactory can testify to the quality of our machined components).

Full specifications of our Coilovers can be found on our website, but for the main differences between our Coilovers and our main competitors, you can view this link here: http://www.ycwsuspension.com/why

As for SWIFT Springs, a lot of you may already be familiar with this brand/company. Founded in 1997 in Tokyo Japan as a motor sports division of Tokyo Hatsujo Manufacturing Co, Ltd (S.W.I.F.T: Springs With Intelligence From Tohatsu), our sole purpose was to demonstrate our superior engineering in springs by developing the next generation of motor sports suspension coil springs. They had to have the best characteristics of any brand or design in the market, which required the springs to be the lightest in weight and most durable, and to exhibit the most linear characteristics while still being cost effective (unlike Titanium). With this in mind, we set out to produce a new material for coil springs: a proprietary steel alloy we call "HS5.TW". This material was created in order to maintain the following 4 factors:

1) The most consistent spring rate throughout the stroke
2) The largest amount of stroke
3) The highest durability against loss of spring height
4) The lightest in weight

Our priority was to achieve the fastest reaction speed possible to get compliance on road surface conditions. Our springs are created with proprietary winding methods, as well as some other trade secrets focused on ensuring our springs separation from the standard market.

SWIFT?s impressive motor sports history dated back to 1998, first was with Nissan Skyline GT-R in the Super Taikyu Endurance championship series in Japan. Then SWIFT got involved with the championship teams in Le Mans 24hrs, Nurburgring 24hrs, Super GT (JGTC), Super Taikyu series, D-1 World Grand Prix, F3, F3000, Formula Toyota, and many other world class races. In 2004, Team Goh Audi R8 won 1st place at the world renowned Le Mans 24hrs race on swift springs

Requirements
- Must have a good history of track racing (Circuit/Auto-X. Not Drag) i.e Your achievement history will be required
- Must have a planned racing itinerary i.e We need to know what confirmed events etc you will be attending
- Must have a good network/following i.e Online Forums, Social Media etc
- Must have good experience in installation, setup and diagnosis of suspension/chassis components i.e Be able to provide us with sufficient feedback/recommendations
- Must have sufficient resources and time to help us develop and test any future updates/modifications i.e We don't want to have to wait weeks for you to test an update because something is broken on your car or other non-emergency commitments
- Must have good experience in providing detailed reports/write-ups i.e Good camera and explanation skills
- Must be willing to have our MFactory/YCW Suspension/SWIFT Springs branding on your vehicle in prominent locations (we will pay the costs for branding)
- Must not have competitor branding on the vehicle
- Car must be available for trade shows/events (e.g SEMA, PRI etc)

What you get in return
- A production set of coilovers, at no cost to yourself (other than time)
- Any and all upgrades/modifications deemed necessary during the sponsorship period, at no cost to yourself (other than time)
- Possible event fee subsidy and contingency bonus (dependent on performance/exposure)

Interested?
If you are, or know someone who may be, interested in joining a new and fast-growing Suspension Company and be part of the Official MFactory/YCW Suspension/SWIFT Springs Race Team, please do not hesitate to contact us:

If you need a built fiesta to sponsor I'm down. My car has about every mod you can name and a built motor in the works. I am actually in desperate need of stringer axles. I've broken 3 drag racing now.

I'll be participating in the 2017 peirce motorsports pacific hot hatch series, everywhere coast racing event at big willow this year, and I also go to all the import face off drag races at famoso drag way and california drag way. I also run a local car meet for ST's and Subarus at the dealership I work for.
I live the racer/car guy lifestyle and feel I would make a great brand ambassador/sponsored driver.

I appreciate the tag but I feel I have already purchased products that they are offering. Wavetrac LSD, spec flywheel, spec clutch, kw coil overs. If this offer had been out before I made these big purchases I would have been submitting my information. But if MFactory wants to check out my YouTube page, TShirt Driving, and sees something they like or want maybe we can work something out.

Thanks FrankieF, but after I did what I believed the proper work for the "free" CMB front brake ducts, I decided I would not work that hard for free stuff again. I love them of course, and having proven they work great, am happy for all of us to know.

Plus I have custom MeisterR GT1's on and have to learn them. Maybe know 20% of what I need to at this point.

MFactory, you have the worst web site I have perused in a long time. After working too hard in it, I learned you probably have some good coilovers. It is probably good to have fewer but more noticeable adjustments. Great to pair Swift springs with your dampers, and match to factory frequency. You may have a great story but unless you find better ways to tell it, who will know?

Pete has proven marketing skills and is going to be the quickest west coast FIST when he gets back. You need him.

May I ask what difficulties you were having with the website? And what browser/platform?

I was using Chrome, just clicked on the link in your post. Fiesta is not listed as a supported platform. I finally found some information under Engineering on a different page that suggested you have suspension products to be proud of, but most casual lookers would not have pursued it that far.

Maybe look at MeisterR threads and how they marketed to us. Their web site is weak, but they connected their information with forum via different methods such as Jerrick educating members about how dampers work and why natural frequency is important. Plus some of his sponsored drivers have some good results, so makes interesting reading.

It's not listed because we do not yet have a fitment available. We're not selling anything on this thread, as we don't have anything to sell.

Yes, the link to our website was provided as reference to our company/product, but the point of this thread was that we we're simply looking for an individual (or individuals) that would be interested in joining our team and helping us with development.

This is not the thread to be educating members about how dampers work etc etc. We would leave that to the proper thread when we actually have something to sell you guys.

Update:

We are working with Finsport in the UK (http://finsport.co.uk/) on the development of our Fiesta ST180 coilover kit.

Potentially, we would be looking to offer them as a full rear coilover conversion (instead of the oem independent rears). Will update the thread as developments happen.

Contrary to what I posted in my reply above, if anyone does have any questions of a technical nature, please don't hesitate to ask :)

And yes, we would still be looking for a sponsored driver/development partner in the USA!

This is a great opportunity for someone. I hope the right person finds this thread. Unfortunately that person is not me. I only have a few seasons of HPDE experience and only local AutoX wins. Best of luck!

I would toss my name in the hat, but unfortunately for me, H-Street does not allow a replacement LSD or Coilover shocks.

Multiple National trophies in SCCA competition (Solo2 or Autocross) and multiple years instructing and participating in HPDE and PDX events.

In the future, if this opportunity is available when I decide to take the car to a class with those allowances, I would hope to contact you regarding this.

Best of luck!

I'm only good at breaking stuff and replacing it, lol. I'm looking at buying the diff anyway, and I'be been shopping the coilovers lightly. But I lack the experience and know-how to talk about suspension systems and differences, let alone tuning one for feed back.
Rick/ raamaudio was my first thought.
Pete was 2nd.
Someone out there is a Perfect fit though. Lots of guys are track junkies and don't post-whore on the forums...

No problem :)

As mentioned, we are developing these now in the UK in conjunction with Finsport, and we are still looking for drivers to help us with development side-by-side in the US

I will add this, the Fiesta ST platform is lacking a coilover that can adjust both rebound and compression with a linear spring set up. KW coilivers can adjust both but come with progressive springs and reuse the oem top hats. If M factory is going to be developing a coilover with all the bells and whistles I would gladly do the work to help develop and promote their products.

Oooh, you're going into 2-way territory here (and coilovers that cost almost twice the price! haha), which is for dedicated/serious track use :)

Whilst our current 1-way setup (Rebound only. There are two camps in this field, some advocate Rebound only, some advocate simultaneous Rebound/Compression. It's heated topic/debate though, so don't really want to open a can of worms here) is 100% focused on the street car (occasional weekend warrior), we will be developing our 2-way setup in the near future, and will definitely hit you up.

x2. I like the BC Racing coilovers for their solid top hats and pair well with 2J's spring rates + custom valving, but the lack of solo adjustable rebound and compression is a no-go for serious racing setups. You need to be able to adjust those individually in order to setup a competitive car in most serious racing series that allow such mods.

I would be interested when the time comes that you are developing these 2-ways.

IMO, the "street cheap coilovers" options are kinda diluted at this point. So many companies offer a "really good option at this price point"...
I'd love to see someone jump in with a reasonable priced true 2-way adjustable and prosper at that level. It seems to be what the market is missing at this point, again IMO.

That said, thank you guys for coming here and being interested in producing quality products for our cars!
