mode still not working after changing mode door actuator

I never could change air modes in my FIST so i ordered a mode door actuator and replaced it. while changing it i found the harness wire cut so i soldered the wires back together and the motor moves slowly but doesn't change modes. is there a calibration that I didn't do? I cant seem to find anyone else that has had this issue.
