What's up everyone! My names Jimmy and I picked up my used 2015 FiST in Tuxedo Black this past sunday, October 23rd. I am coming from a 2005 Saab 9-2x (Saabaru) with an EJ207 swap. I absolutely loved that wagon, however I came home from a weeklong trip on October 9th and found that my car had been flooded by Hurricane Matthew while I was out of town. The insurance company totaled it out a couple days later, so I grabbed a few parts off of it and now I'm entrenched in a value battle with them to try an get a better settlement.
However, in the meantime, I have been very fond of the FoST and the FiST because I am a hatchback/wagon fan and I love cars that are nimble in the corners, but still have plenty of getup to pass on the highway or around slow moving vehicles. After reading a bunch of reviews/input/forums, I decided to go test drive both of them and the FiST just appealed to me on a different level. Being that at one point I owned a modified 06 Mini Cooper S, the FiST was the closest feel to that car and I figured it would be WAY more reliable and much less of a headache compared to getting another MINI.
After a 2 weeks search and considering flying halfway across the country, I finally found a Tux Black one only a couple hours away. The bank was finally cooperating when they got in contact with the insurance company, so I headed up, test drove it and signed the paperwork. I really wanted an Oxford White, but I didn't have a lot of time to choose and Black was my secondary color, so I jumped on it.
It's a 2015, bone stock, Recaro package, Nav, and Sunroof (could of done without that), with 17900 miles on it and was in overall great shape. It was missing the cargo cover, but the dealer agreed to order one from Ford and Ship it to me. So far the car has been a blast to drive and probably one of my favorite daily drivers. I do have a couple plans for it along the lines of Mountune Springs, Accessport, Cobb RMM, Symposer delete, front splitter, wheels, window tint, and wing risers. It will probably end there since I have a 340WHP MR2 that consumes quite a bit of my time and my funds.
I don't have any pictures right this second, but I will throw some up when I get a chance!
