Just like to see everyones opinions a just startup a thread cuz I have nothing to do lol

Personally I am really wanting a RS when they come out. Thinking of selling my FIST right now when I can get the most cash out of it lol. All the rest on your list are crap IMO. Never liked Evo's or STI's the civic is blah unless we got a real deal Type R which we wont and the S2000 is slow. Focus RS.

Would you buy an RS if it had a 5-10k markup? I dont see them going for MSRP.....

I would also throw in the 2016 Golf R as it will be a manual 6 speed and can be had for around 36-37k.. Very fun drive for us so far.

Probably keeping the fist for the long haul then going with a truck or suv (by the time I pay off the fist going to need a family hauler)

That's what my wife and I are thinking. My wife actually enjoys driving the FiST. It does its job for our tiny family very well, and it satisfies my go fast and have fun car needs, I can see us holding on to it for a long time.

It still freaks me out that we can get oversteer on this car bonestock. It's awesome tossing it into turns.

Keeping the FiST until they come out with the next generation of them (provided we get the damn things in the states). Although I may just end up keeping this one for the long haul and hold on to it since it's such a fun vehicle.

I'm in for keeps as well. Allows me to enjoy adding bits and pieces here and there.

I got 120k miles and 11 years out of my Matrix XRS (had needed a clutch for 10k and the front end was getting squirrely). The power band on that car only came on at 6200 and went to 8k. Designed by a deranged Yamaha engineer.

nope. My fiesta is paid off and thinking the RS is gonna be 40ish (loaded I need recaros, brembos etc) I throw up at 40. I figure trade in on the fiesta will be 14-15 at that point so the "base" price is already a hard sell to the wife, since the fiesta is paid off getting a payment would suck. I would wait a few years to get a used one if the markup was the case. Lets just hope its not a limited production run

2016 will see a USDM market CTR. It's ugly as sin but the performance of it can't be denied. There's a thread on it here.

Of the cars you have listed, I have owned both an STI and the S2000. I cannot recommend an STI simply because nowadays you can get a LOT more bang for your buck. Subaru has failed to keep up with innovation. That said, the S2000 I owned was a very fun car, but lacked practicality. Also, and for whatever reason, the seats/driving position caused a ton of problems with my lower back. On top of that, it was my only car. Sadly I had to trade it in. One day I hope to own another S2000 --- as a weekend warrior.

Plan on keeping the ol' Fister and getting an STi as a weekender in a few years. I'm also very partial to the Buick Regal GS

Depends what you're looking for OP. I personally recommend sticking with the FiST. It's too practical to give up.

Yea thats real true and for me being my 2nd car its pretty fast anything faster could be alot of tickets for me. Only thing I don't like is the little amount of backseat space and the high center of gravity.

Thinking I'll be keeping the FiST but buying a second car to have fun with (I've always wanted a Lotus Elise). Will have to see what the next couple of years hold for new cars though before I make that decision.

I'm keeping mine for a long time, I can't afford to trade up for an RS or I might. Looks like it's going to be a great car.
Would also consider a type r despite claims of blinding ugliness (I like it..), though I could equally not afford that car.

If you're gonna sell the fist you should get the RS. Merica.
