Next generation Firehawk Indy 500 releasing in Japan

Bridgestone is releasing the Potenza RE004 in Japan this year, which means we might see the next generation Firehawk Indy 500 stateside maybe next year. Looks like it has improvement in dry grip and stability per the above link

That's good to know. I have the current Firehawk Indy 500, and I like them, but they do give up a small amount of precision on turn in compared to the OEM Potenzas. If this potential new version tightens that up a bit, that would be great.

Having bought my car used with Hankook all seasons, of which I promptly burst a side wall, due to hitting a pot hole that was in the shade, I got 4 Indy 500s, and liked them immediately better than those A/S, even though I'd never been on a twisty road on the all seasons, having blew that one tire the day after buying the car, and having wanted summer tires anyway for the twisty roads I do. So, I'm not aware of how good the stockers are, but I know the Indy 500s are damned near 1/2 the price. That's all I needed to know.

I look forward to their replacements.
