Reusing bolts/bearings when installing LSD?

Hey everyone,

So I've been in touch with a transmission shop regarding LSD installation and there was some confusion when I mentioned the extra bearings & bolts install kit.

The person at the shop said they could most likely reuse the bolts and possibly even the bearings, if they can take them off without damage (and if not, they intend to source them, which would come out to be much cheaper than getting the whole kit)

So my question is if there's any reason to insist on using the kit or not. Is there any reason brand new bolts are used other than just to make extra sure old ones aren't bad or stripped somehow? Are bearings included with that kit special in any way or they're just garden variety? Have you heard of them ever being reused?

Yes, you need new bearings and bolts for the new differential.

You would have to remove the bearings from the old diff to reuse them and the bolts are one time use only.
