Seems like I'm noticing it more frequently. Reverse camera will stay on after shifting out of reverse. Had the same thing on my '13 Ford Focus. Never figured it out. Just lived with it. Ignition cycling rectifies. The other day as I backed into my driveway it stayed on, cycled through 1st,2nd, neutral no change then I pulled the ebrake and boom it went out.

Anyone else run into this?

There's an active recall on the reverse camera system....but there is currently no fix for it.
Good to know it's a known issue. I wonder if they'll even bother figuring out a fix.

I would imagine the problem lies in Ford not really having the code for Sync 3. It was a Microsoft hodge podge which Microsoft has abandoned. And given how things go in the electronic world the manufacturer of the screens and camera system (which was a late bandaid to comply with the law) probably don't exist any more or they don't have the assembly line for it any more.

Mine actually started acting up a few weeks ago. The camera doesn't work in reverse most of the time now, I usually get an error asking to contact the dealership. I too received an active recall notice a few weeks ago and they do not have the part to correct the recall per the letter.

I see that problem crossed atlantic sea because i had the same problem with my french FiST.

I found a way to solve (avoid...?) it maybe i'm just lucky but when i put the neutral, i press the "eject" button from CD and keep on during 5 secunds. No more back screen.

Me thinks they wont... I think if I read correctly they had this issue with another line of their cars and they got sued because it took far too long for them to solve. Mines acting up too unfortunately.
