Hi got this car back in Oct 2020 during the pandemic with around 3k miles on the odometer. Always wanted to get a fun, lightweight hatchback after owning a 89 crx si and 95 civic hatchback years prior. Figure it would make a great daily driver and wanted to keep it relatively stock with wheels, summer tires and an upgraded koyo radiator but things got out of hand. I had and still have an evo x at the time that I wanted to keep for track events, but got distracted back and forth modding the two cars.

I quickly found the fiesta was a great platform to do track events, as not dissimilar to my old NA miata, the consumables were much more affordable. The car rotated just as well as my evo and the aftermarket parts were reasonable affordable compared to other platforms. First round of mods included Wavetac diff, Miester R coilovers, braces, suspension and the majority of cooling mods.

I kept the power levels stock-ish with Cobb acessport and included tunes with CA 91 octance. I did around a dozen track events from late 2020 to early 2022. Irresponsibly I ran some back to back 20 min hpde sessions in 90f tempts at track like Chuckwalla, Buttonwillow and Streets of Willow and the car held well until it did not. At some point did a more minor second round of mods after damaging the stock turbo and replacing it with another. I'm proud in succeeding in melting parts of the OEM downpipe Paused going to events due to life circumstances.

In 2023 for no good reason at all, got a 19 Honda civic si which I have had no self restraint in modding and continued modding my evo x. My Fiesta worked great as a daily driver and got no real attention.

Back in early 2025 after getting the car to 26k miles, the reverse gear went out. Originally I only planned to get the transmission worked on by Colby Clarke, but then again got distracted and began a 3rd round of modifications with a bunch of stuff not related to the transmission at all. Not being really happy with the oem recaros, I went with JDM SR-7 reclinable seats. I got an S280 thankfully before the price spiked, got Hella Euro headlights. Suspension wise upgraded to DNA adjustable front arms and Spoon rigid collars (loved these on my other cars). Threw on a Coolerworx shifter and regret badly it wasn't one of the first mods I did.

Modifications wise, I am close to being done. I'm still conflicted with whether or not to throw on wider wheels and fender flares that I already own. If I do go that route, I won't do so until earlier next year. I don't have any tires yet, but would get a more stretched fitment with a set of Continental Extreme Contact Force in 225/40/17 with a height of 24.1" which should give me good enough height clearance, especially since I think I may have had less clearance using 225/16 Dunlop Z3's that are no longer made and I cannot look up the specs.

Here's the current mod list.

Great choice for the BRAIDS! They can take a lot of punishment! Enjoy them!
