Sealed box intake to work with Velossa Tech big mouth.

I know the stock intake is probably fine. I think I'll just get a drop in filter but I was wondering if anyone used a different intake with the Velossa Tech big mouth. Pretty much going for more spinny woooosh noises.

it shouldn't really matter what you use for intake, the velossa tech big mounth doesn't connect to the intake box directly, it connects to the front of the car directly

Pretty sure I pressed it in to the intake tract when I did the install

no, you press it on a open slot in the radiator support.
you can remove all of the intake box all by itself

Correct. It does feed the box, providing less restriction when at speed.

As others have stated, it feeds into the stock airbox. It would be redundant with boxes such as the CPE, Mountune, and ST200 as they pull cold air from outside the car as well. Might make a difference with the Cobb intake, might not.
