So i pulled up at the end of the street as i do everyday, only this time as i pull out onto the road (not hard) the car makes a very audible noise like something is being stressed and it doesn't like it. not a grinding stress but like an old pick nick table sounds when you sit on it. i don't like this at all. any info welcome.

Could it be a bushing needing some grease or a loose suspension nut/bolt? Make any changes ? If yes go over the nuts/bolts? Or is it something with the steering rack. D1JL mention his bolts were loose on a thread a while back.

Sorry i don't have anything definite just troubleshooting. Considering i own an abuse 10 year old Aveo i know sounds and it is a matter of isolating. Good luck.

Yes, check the steering rack bolts.
Since I found mine to be loose I am curious if anyone else has found this.

That of course is a good thing.
Have you made any changes to the steering, brakes, or suspension?

Make sure that the sway bar end links or brake caliper mounts are torqued correctly.

That's good. Didn't you loose some oil a while back because of loose hose. When you re-tighten everything could you have moved something to get rubbing on a suspension part? Also check your motor mounts (lots of talk about them recently)? I know when I have such a problem I start with forcing the suspension (pushing up and down on the front end see if it appears again. Lastly just because i just notice mine are shot (aveo) check the tie rod ends.

made no suspension, brake, or steering changes, the hose issue i had was the hose coming off the hot side of the turbo, the oil was being pulled through the seal in the turbo due to the low pressure on the boost side of the house, like rodmoe said. i put T-Bolts on today and looked for oil in the hose and found nothing. the mount im using is the stock mount filled with Poly. working great so far.

im starting to think its the CV shaft, (Passenger side) so more costly.

Hey lessard.dcj,

Has your dealer had a chance to take a look at this? Please let me know the details, along with the year and current odometer reading on your Fiesta. I'll see how to best assist on my end.

No they have not looked into it as i am hesitant to bring the car in to them. The last time i brought it in they looked at my issue and said their system didnt show a history of the problem ( shifter cables chewing each other to bits) and sent me on my way. Im at around 45000km. It is the worst dealer ive tried to deal with anywhere for maint. Also the last rep on here i talked to about the chafing shifter cables never got back to me.

I hear you and I'll look into all available options on my end. I suggest taking your vehicle to the dealer,as it is a great first step. Please send us a private message with the model year, VIN, dealer, your full name, and your best daytime phone number.

Mariel
