SYNC went dead, black screen. What aftermarket units has anyone used that fit in where the screen is in the FIST? have tried the update several times, wouldnt take it. Took it in for service and in the update the whole system failed and locked up.

Have you checked salvage yards? I looked on car-part.com and found four units in my state available at prices from $80-$125.
