After six Miatas and an FRS that was fully gutted and track prepped, it's time to make a switch! I've heard a good amount about fun these are to drive, and obviously I love driving these kinds of cars. I'm excited to see what this one has in store!

09/23/17: Jzilla Trackdays @ Road Atlanta (stock EVERYTHING- 1:53:3)

* Managed to cook my stock pads braking into 10A, but the car felt awesome completely stock, much more left in it! Zero issues with engine temps, which was one thing everyone warned me about.

10/6/17: Hawk DTC-60 front brake pads, Hawk DTC-30 rear

10/13/17: New Hankook Ventus V12 205/45/17 and alignment from Controlled Motors!

* -2.1 front, -.7 rear, with 0 toe after installation of Whiteline camber bolts

11/02/17 Jzilla Trackdays @ Atlanta Motorsports Park

* Was able to get a 1:42:3, which felt good for my first outing. Tires were definitely the limiting factor. Going through the carousels helped me realize I probably need some more camber, front and rear. I should be able to get everything dialed in before my next outing on 12/16.
* Still zero issues with temps, both engine and braking. Loving these new pads!

11/04/17 TougeFest @ Tail of the Dragon!

* I do a ton of mountain driving, and am at the Dragon quite often. It felt great to be able to be up there for the whole weekend with all of my friends!

* I also won a free Access Port!

11/13/17

* Ordered my pedal spacer!

* Heel-toeing is a massive issue with these cars and it held me back a little on track and a massive amount in the mountains. Time to fix that!
* Pics of install to follow

11/18/17

* Dyno'd at JST Performance!

* Tires and brakes are next!

Pretty late to the build thread, but will be updating as much as possible from now on. Dyno-tuning with JST to come on 11/17/17!

You can add your images to your thread so that they show up by hitting the "Inset Image" button and then paste the imgur links into that.

I'll head back and do that in a bit.

Looking at getting a FiST as a dd / auto x / casual track car. I have a ‘15 z/28 which is just amazing on track (8+ days this year.)

What coil overs / suspension would you recommend. Want to do a wheels / tires / suspension setup that will regularly pull 1.1 lat g.

How do you find the car on track coming from rwd? I loved my test drive but I’m really hopeful I can have the back axle brake free before the front when I come in hot off power. Also, will you be doing a diff?

Either way it looks like an amazing car!

I've driven a new SS 1LE and it felt massive compared to the FiST. The FiST turns in so much better and respond better to input. Ill be getting Bilstein B14s and an LSD eventually. I'm really trying to slowly get used to the car at each stage right now. It drives like a FWD miata, which made the transition a ton easier. These cars rotate enough as is, and with a great alignment, it's so compliant.
