I got a '15 Fiesta ST, and I've been loving it for the last year since I purchased it. The only thing I think the car is lacking is a better exhaust and I'm considering options at the moment. I would like your opinions guys. I'm looking for something that sounds as close as the exhaust in the new european Fiesta ST. I'll leave a link to the video where you can hear a comparison at 1:50. I find the new exhaust not obnoxious. I want an exhaust that sounds refined but that'll get you nice pops and bangs when you drive it hard enough, but quiet when just cruising around town.

I'm open to your recommendations and I'll appreciate if you share any clips of your car's exhaust sound.

The 3 cylinder one kinda sounds like a stock FiST exhaust with a crackle tune and a resonator delete.

Thermal Thermal Thermal
Of course!
I think the 3 cyl example above really sounds like a res delete and a strat progressive crackle tune tho :p
A resonator delete sounds pretty good from the outside - it's slightly obnoxious inside (a ~104hz hum) and you can't hear the pops that it makes unless you're driving along a wall or something.

Thanks for everyone's opinion! I'm heavily considering the Mountune cat-back exhaust, it's refined and deep enough for my liking, but I don't know if I'll get those kinda "subtle", and beautiful pops and bangs from it.

Every clip I've heard of the mountune exhaust sounds great, but I think its either crazy expensive or hard to get here in the US (or both?). The pops and bangs are mapped in, exhaust alone won't do that (not with that consistency, every rev = 1 pop). You'll likely get some pops and crackling on downshifts, but when it's mapped it it's much more consistent.

Actually Mountune has free shipping on the catback exhaust, and it's really not super expensive when compared to other exhausts, though it is one the more expensive side. Ohhh I see, I didn't know they where a result of a map. And that's exactly what I'm looking for, inconsistent pops and bangs, those that are kinda rare but so satisfying when you do get them.

Have had the mountune on my 15' FiST since the car was new. The MK8 in vid sounds like my 15'. As Clint said, pops are dependent on the tune. It's a little more subtle than the thermal (my second favorite @Dpro [poke]).

I really like my fswerks exhaust. It's in the $500 range good quality and they have well over 20 reviews on their site.
I consider them the black sheep of the family no one really even talks about fswerks but they were making custom performance parts for Ford's before the EcoBoost thing even existed. Custom turbocharged kits, performance engine parts they just don't seem to brag and push their stuff like other companies.

I will say the Mountune is a nice exhaust! I might have wound up with it had the Thermal not been available .
Second the Mountune. Was kind of quieter than I initially expected but the sound at WOT is beautiful, and I can still stealthily cruise by the cops when need be.

Anybody running Miltek or Scorpion or the more popular UK/Euro exhaust brands over here?

Always wanted a Scorpion system on My VR6 cars. Never been around one firsthand. Was around many Miltek VW cars and they were always top quality and on the quieter side.

Switching from MBRP to milltek was the best move I could have made. Car sounds absolutely perfect with a high flow catted DP

I'll probably go this route. I've been buying their stuff since they were called Focus Sport and have zero complaints. Great guys, gave me a tour when I dropped in on vacation

My brother's first car was a 2005 ZX3 Ford Focus. We put their race exhaust on it, and their upper strut bar. My 2010 Ford Focus was my first new car still have it daily driver, and I did the exact same thing their race exhaust and upper strut bar. They have a quality product at a mid-range price, and have been in the game a lot longer than these pop-up companies.

Thoughts on the Mishimoto Resonated Catback Exhaust?
I just ordered this exhaust for an insane price. I wanted thermal but I couldn't pass this deal up. This exhaust is supposed to have zero drone and should be very similar to the thermal. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it or not but I think it's worth looking into...
