This sounds like a no brainer to me but I'll seek reconfirmation.
I just sold my C5 Corvette and I am looking for a car that will serve as a secondary vehicle for our little family. We already have the bigger vehicle for trips out of town and comfort.
The Fiesta ST's primary function will be commuting 5 to 10 miles to work and daycare. If the car is big enough, my wife and I can even carpool and still have the baby in the back, although that's not a 100% requirement. I'm 6'0, wife is 5'7 and we have a 5 month old in an infant rear facing seat. We'll eventually have a second child in the not too distant future. The wife even said if she has to sit in the back with the baby to make the seat fit with Recaros, she's fine with that (our commute is really short). I've seen people driving around with grown adults in normal hatchback fiestas so it must be doable.
So basically, what do current dads think? Does the Fiesta do the job? I basically want a non boring 4 seater car without breaking the bank. Seems like the Fiesta fits the bill. The focus seems to only be bigger in the trunk. I plan to still play in canyons and the occasional autocross/track day if i can fit that in.
