2014 Ford Fiesta ST... Thoughts

Hello guys,

At the moment i am driving a Toyota Yaris 2008 model and don't get me wrong it's not a bad get around the town car the mileage to fuel consumption is great and to this day never broke down or let me down in anyway. I am now looking to upgrade to something a little better now i have a few $ in my pocket and the 2014 Ford Fiesta ST stands out quite a bit. Beautiful looking car with it's sleek design, 1.6L engine which is good enough for what i need day to day. Definitely stands out more than any othe hatch back i have been looking at in my price range and personal taste. When searching online i have been on used Fiesta ST classified ads site also looking through the autotrader etc and they all see around the same price range and conditions, here are some specs

SPECS
Year: 2014
Make: Ford
Model: Fiesta
Engine: ST mounted performance
Capacity: 1.6 L
Transmission: 6 speed manual
Mileage: 19,339
Fuel type: Gasoline
Body type: Hatchback
ETC

REVIEW (pretty much what i read everywhere)
"I've been happy with my 2014 Fiesta SE hatchback. It is slightly underpowered and could use a bit more torque, but the engine revs up happily and the transmission and clutch are smooth and easy to use. I'm very glad I got the manual five-speed. A nice feature is that anti-roll back technology is standard to make it easier to manage for those not used to a manual. The Fiesta's not the best highway cruiser; it doesn't have the power and the lack of a sixth gear means it's wound up pretty high at cruising speeds of 65+. However, it is fantastic at city driving and suburban or back road commuting! It's a very nimble chassis with a tight turning radius and responsive steering. The suspension is well balanced between a smooth ride and precise handling. It's not overly harsh over potholes and cobblestones. Not super high-tech or luxurious but very functional and so far, reliable. The metallic red color option looks great!"

So what i need from everyone is you experiences with this model, eg how does it drive?, what's the maintenance like? how costly is it to keep it going??
Anything you can think of up's or down's!!

Thanks guys

Quoted review is for SE ??

LOL, I missed the SE at first, but then I saw "could use a bit more torque" and I was like "where can you find more torque anywhere at this price point?" Anyhow, OP, that review is off, but the 2014 STs are probably a good bargain right now. With the exception of the paint options and Sync 3 infotainment system, they are essentially the same as the new ones. If you can find one in good shape with around 20K miles and some warranty left, go for it.

Nice work with the video. Similar feelings as yours, not feeling the need to augment the power beyond the Cobb AP. May some day get a green filter, but thats about it.

Have fun on the test drive! My first drive in a ST was a pre-production prototype car in Brazil that had a number of mismatched interior parts. After a few minutes of driving, I was in love with the car. According to many, I was the first person outside Ford and the suppliers/contractors to drive the ST. After a few years of living with the ST, the honeymoon period still isn't over! The car is just fantastic!

I just picked up a used 14' fiST and couldn't be happier. I traded in my Volvo C30 that I loved as my commuter car. The Fiesta is so much better in every aspect; power, size, more doors and fun fun fun..the fiST is a street legal go-cart!
I can't really give you any input on reliability but you have nothing to worry about with the 1.6 ecoboost very strong engine.

my advise if you can find one used buy it before someone else goes for a test drive and falls in love like I did... don't be fouled by horsepower the fiesta is LIT!
