After I saw the thread about "Well, the brakes work". I decided to share my fair share of code browns... Been driving in China for 7 years (1 and half with the FiST) and going and as you can expect, I've collected a couple of videos from my dashcam. Here they are, all recorded from my FiST for your viewing pleasure.

All videos are edited and cut so your viewing time and bandwidth is not wasted, some even with captions for humor.

https://youtu.be/Xd_RMhfg-T8 - Man on motorcycle has suicide wish
https://youtu.be/r0PGFHBecXE - Idiot oncoming driver
https://youtu.be/zbkh6Co1Ho8 - Crippled man on side of hwy
https://youtu.be/JIuKrgPlktM - Retarded Skoda Driver
https://youtu.be/yLKODyGyGOM - Retarded 7 series doing U-turn on highway into on ramp

But needless to say... This is only some of them. Close calls and "Code brown" happens almost on daily occurrence, I don't have time to catch them all and edit them all, but only the ones that actually gave me near heart attack (as I'm already desensitized to most China driving scenarios by now) are usually kept and uploaded as a reminder to keep myself sharp.

Hope you enjoy!

What cam is that? Looks pretty good even at night.

I just bought a DOD Tech LS460W yesterday but I havent gotten a chance to play with it yet. Hoping to test it out later today.

Some cheap Chinese brand I got for about $25 USD China's version of Ebay. This is a generic 720P and 30FPS model with CMOS sensor for better night lighting. I'm actually looking to upgrade to 1080P and 60FPS model.

Haha thought about a train horn? Maybe you could put that in parallel with some flood lamps.

That bridge near head on was scary. That 4wd parked there led to the other idiot pulling out.

I tend to only use the fiesta on weekends now as it's to frustrating driving to work in it.

Look for G800 or G1W, great cameras for the price. More so if you buy direct in China.

http://www.amazon.com/Generic-G800-Car-Camera-DVR/dp/B00UOTGM7C

Make sure they output in *.mov format.
Size was another of my criteria for dashcam, with our heavily slanted windshield, the visibility is less than what I have previously driven. I don't want too much of my view blocked. This is what mine looks like:

FYI the Generic G800 costs $45 here.

I've considered air horns for a while now, but due to legal restrictions, I haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Barely noticed the 4wd on side... Was too busy recovering from code brown.

I got the Fiesta ST because I wanted a fun DD lol.

I've actually driven in Italy a few times already, it's not that bad at all. I love how aggressive they take their turns on the winding roads [twothumb]

Well, if you want tiny, the 805 and 806 are pretty nice actually. They're closer to around 80 bucks but still worth it.
