got gear oil? drain it and see what comes out.

It was still under the trans rebuild warranty by a few hundred miles. Too it in and they replaced the cv axle. I was convinced it wasn’t that, but it was!

which axel? I'm having the same issue but I'm no longer in warranty, or rather I'm not willing to take off everything to take it.
