Hey everybody,

I'm new here. Recently bought a 2016 Fiesta ST in Molten Orange with matching orange Recaros. Previous owner added some black Sparco wheels which I quiet like. Here's a pic I took driving the car home from Florida.

My garage also contains a 2006 Toyota 4Runner with the V8, and a (fairly heavily) modified 2013 WRX Hatch. Picked up the Fiesta ST to be a fun little daily driver.

I was looking at some WRX's before the ST myself, but that price difference is too huge to make any financial sense in my case.

Really wanted a Bugeye but finding one in good unmolested condition is fairly hard for a reasonable price.

I bought my WRX hatch (basically new) back in 2014 when the FiST first came out. I purchased a base WRX hatch for the price of a fully loaded Fiesta ST. At the time it was my only car and I leaned toward the slightly larger, more practical car. It was also more proven tuning and established community as well.

I will say I was surprised how much room is actually in the ST, I fit my S14 gas tank in the back with room to spare. Deceiving little thing.

This is true. For such a small car it has impressive capacity. However a few things I haul on a regular basis do not fit well: hockey bag and sticks for instance. Also golf clubs require putting a seat down. One minor annoyance about the Fiesta is the seats don't seem to fold quite all the way flat.

On a similar note though its truly amazing how much fits in the back of a WRX hatch. But I have a 4runner now so that's a moot point.

I guess my frame of reference is a bit different since I've only owned two door Japanese coupes my entire life. So this thing is huge comparatively lol

haha yeah ..... Falling in love with this fiesta more and more everyday
HOOK. LINE. SINKER! We have a winner here folks!

Performance for price, stock or modified, it is a blast! If they had made it with independent rear....whoa, that would have been sweet. Mazda 3 went TO torsion beam for 2019.

It's my DD, but I'm keeping my old 2008 Mazda 5 for winter (park and cover my baby when they throw salt out), thrift store/craigslist/landfill runs, etc. It's my suv and truck. Yes, i did install a trailer hitch on the fiesta too, but that is mainly for the bike rack, not the trailer.

My 2005 Suzuki Vstrom 1000, trailer amd gear is for sale...

Yep. It's all based on what you "grew up with". Us old guys have driven a lot of vehicles to refer and compare/contrast too. Including automotive technological advances. I had an '01 Volvo V70 wagon for 10 years.

This FiST is my affordable mid-to-later-life crisis car...lol. Not tracking it. I bought it new to ensure it's life is long. Well, longish...my right foot is heavier than my left.
