The sound is always there when the car is on. It doesn't sound to me like its the blend door actuator as its more of a buzzing rather than clicking. Any ideas?

Edit: let me know if there is a different way to post the video as it seems like the only way to view it is to download it

It worked when I tried it again. Weird. I can't even remember what that thing's for.

It is where the cabin air sensor is located from what I've gathered, but I'm not entirely sure.

I think there is a small fan in there. I seem to remember someone else posting about this; see below.

Also found something on a Ford Flex forum that sounds similar:

This seems like the likely cause. Now the question is how to get to it. I imagine I'd need to remove the two steering column covers that are just past the wheel, but I'm not sure.

Seems like a high speed fan with a bad bearing, or perhaps a bent fin. Good luck, I would go nuts with that noise constantly.

I hear a super high pitched noise in some cars including the Fiesta, where it comes from the little speakers by the door handles. Not this kinda noise though. It was horrible in my mom's old Q5. Sometimes having young ears is a little annoying sometimes lol.

Lol I used to use a 17,400hz tone to chase students out of computer labs at closing time. Kills them but anyone over like 20ish can’t hear it lol

I forgive you since the gif is from the prequels.
I figured if the goal was to annoy, prequels were the way to go :p

To the OP - have you found anything that causes the sound to "change" at all, like car on vs. running, with AC on/off, etc.?

I have the same buzzing. Have you fixed it yet? If so, what did you do?
