Autotech Wavetrac diff?

Sorry if it's been covered, or asked before, but the search returned NOTHING on this topic.

Has ANYONE on here, installed one of the above, or even know someone who has?

IF so, what are your impressions/reviews on it?

It is about the same cost as the Quaife, and on paper at least, it appears to be somewhat better due to the Wavetrac feature which 'ramps up' to keep all drive from being lost to BOTH wheels when one is actually in the air (NOT in contact with the road).

NO ONE (at Quaife) will give out the Quaife's actual bias ratio, but those who guess at it say it is ~2.5:1, whih is also what the Wavetrac is, altough that can be modded higher in that unit, albeit with less longevity/reliability before a rebuild.

Yes, WAY back in my A1/A2 16V GTI days Autotech was a MAJOR player in their aftermarket.

I was just wondering if ANYONE on here has chanced one yet, and just how it made their FiST 'behave' as compared to the reviews given to the Quaife.

+1 on this high quality vendor.

Most of my aftermarket parts* on my A1 Jetta were Autotech designed/made or sourced from them. No LSD though, sorry.

*full suspension, chassis bracing, manifold-back exhaust, hydro cam for 2.0L ABA swap, etc.

Its the diff I want. The install is basically the same. SirSinclair bought and had one installed in his car.

Installation is basically the same. I've put a thousand miles on my car since the Wavetrac install. The most noticeable difference has been post-apex corner exit speed, and equally as noticeable is the additional traction on snow and ice. The traction control does a lot less work, although I'll know for sure if I can get a set of front pads to last longer than 28k on the street with no track use.

“Basically” the same? Any notable differences you can recall? Getting ready to do it this month and wavetrac has not answered my emails.
