Code P00C6 and P0301

Hey All,

So recently my car stalled on me and wont start now. I scanned it and was given two error codes P00C6 and P0301. I looked it up and P0301 seems to be a cylinder 1 misfire and P00C6 is a fuel rail pressure too low - engine cracking. I've searched everywhere and couldn't get
a solid answer on how I can get it fixed. Has anyone ran into this issue or has gotten those codes before? Im hoping to see what troubleshooting I could do before I take the bullet and take it to a dealer.

ALL STOCK 2014 FIesta ST MI. 78000

Anything helps!

Thanks everyone

Do you have a Ap3/ Cobb Accessport? You can check the fuel pressure reading with it. Is the vehicle under warranty of 5 yr/60k powertrain Warranty still ?

Nope on the accessport. Im just using a regular OBDII Scanner. Its over the warranty. Its a 2014 model at 78000 miles

There are a couple of threads Started with Fuel related sensor issues. There is also a good post from another member of Adam Brunson's Facebook post on how to identify if you have a bad fuel sensor. in all that some where using an AP3 though to monitor the pressures.

Is the only way to do it with an accessport?

You may have to have a better scantool than a local parts store one* they can only do so much for live feed data.

Update: I replaced the spark plugs and coils. One cylinder had a spark plug that was a little mosit and smelled like gas. The car cranks for a few secs before starting but it sounds rough. Idle is high and maybe 30-40sec later it will stall out. I've read multiple threads saying it might be the low pressure sensor so I got a replacement part for that and will be working on it tomorrow. However, I did notice a gas smell as I was trying to start it and looking into the exhust a little bit of white smoke was coming out so im not entirely sure what it could be.

White smoke usually is an indicator of Antifreeze * i hope it isn't for your sake! Keep us up to date

yeah I was thinking that too but when I smelled it. I was smelled gas and not coolant but we'll see how it goes. Some threads said it could be a bad fuel injector? could possibly make sense since one spark plug had some gas on it and code was throwing out cylinder one misfire.

An injector that is leaking down/failed* check the oil level also and smell it for gas. If it smells like gas time for an oil change to avoid bearing washout.

Which sensor did you buy? I did a DIY on the LPFS near the HPFP. You can check that one out for reference if you'd like also.
