Long story short, dropped by a local shop to get my resonator chopped (love the burbles you get from this simple mod). The owner kept calling my car a Fiestiva... which my ignorant ass thought he was just messing up the name.

Come pickup time I drop in and he makes the joke again, and my keys have Fiestiva written on it, and I thought surely there has to be a context.

Thank God for Google as I found the beauty of the mk1 Ford Festiva, which I now am day dreaming of building as a joke one day.

so now the label sticks on my Accessport as a reminder of maybe one day... the stars might align and I might build a Ford Fiestiva by dropping a 1.6t + 6speed in the old econobox for giggles...

If it could be done for less than an exorbitant amount of coin, it would be fairly quick, even on a pure stock, factory FiST drivetrain, given that those things weighed about a half ton less than our rides. [driving]

^^^I really like that box-flared blue one, as it reminds me of the Renault 5 Turbo Group4/Group B cars, or more directly, the Shogun. [coolsmile][driving][raceflag]
