I’ve paid as low as $25 on Amazon and as high as $100 for a custom made stainless steel one from a machinist. $40-$60 is fair in my opinion. I think this looks better and it definitely feels better in the hand. 2FAAF375-E92F-4271-8285-F10527637C2E.jpeg D48BD991-1F63-4323-BADB-E7E208AEC3AE.jpeg

I went with a heavy knob and a shifter extension on my Fiesta and I hated both of them. The heavy shift knob killed the feel of the super light transmission and the extension (while it put the shifter in a good place) made my throw incredibly long and felt like I was rowing a boat.

I think I paid a little over $100 for the extension.

These were on my car for me to give them an honest chance for about 2 weeks before they came off and I went with a lightweight shift knob and ditched the extension.

Granted, I am not open tracking the car, nor autocrossing it at all.

But for street driving; the Mountune short shift 'plate' mounted on the top of the gearbox, and the Ford carbon look shift knob are damn near perfect in 'feel' to me, especially for a cable shifted gearbox.

The Coolerworx race style shifter (without the Mountune device, of course), or the boomba shift lever with the Mountune still installed would most likely feel even better yet, but I am afraid they would be overkill, and going too far the other way for my uses, and hurt the car's practicality a little bit. Those were my thoughts. This in combination with a short shift plate would be ideal.

This setup feels perfect for me with the mountune short shifter + modified oem (boomba style) shifter made by greyfist.

Extension and reverse lockout are from Lathewerks and not cheap. I should’ve just bought a coolerworx but it feels great so oh well.

Big plus of the extension is you can use whatever knob you want and aren’t limited to reverse lockout knobs.

We've been talking and I'm definitely interested. In the past, I've paid $40-$60 as Woods mentioned. I would like to see it available in black as well but this looks great!

A Boomba style shifter arm, remove the stupid bend and with the length of the arm 1" longer, revise the shifter base bushings to add 1/2" rise to the shifter base and sell the two items as a package. Keep it at or under $300 and it will be a hot ticket item.

The coolerworx is awesome but yeah it is a steep price, the thing I couldn't get past with the extensions is the reverse lockout being in such a weird place.
