So I'm at my 10 year anniversary with my egg and relatively low miles. I think I should celebrate with a turbo upgrade. Any recommendations on a North Texas based shop for the work?

No useful input just highlighting that turbo swap really isn’t bad to do yourself if you have jack stands or ramps and half a day. I was terrified my first time but have swapped the turbo 6-7 times in the last 5 years without issue. Lots of helpful folks here who talked me through any issues the first time around

If you do go to a shop, let us know how many labor hours they’re quoting. I’d be wary of anything over 6 hours.

I've been watching installs from both the top and bottom and I'm considering it. I'll see what kind of labor I'm looking at.

I will say it requires a second set of hands if you’re doing a Garrett turbo or any of the vband ones. S280, hybrid, etc. that use the stock studs to attach the turbo to manifold are easily doable solo. The stock turbo is easy to get out the top and anything up to s280 size can be done from the top with manifold and turbo already mated together.
