Transmission fluid

I noticed some bad gear wine, it kind of sounded pleasant like little straight cut gears driving to work in the morning. So I looked into it a bit on here and everyone tried the low viscosity Mtl from redline and had good luck with it. I went heavy straight Mtl and fought to get exactly 2 full quarts in there and I can no longer hear anything from my transmission and shifts got really smoothed out. I’ve heard all the warnings that this transmission is delicate and only likes thin fluids like the factory and it has to be dual clutch and all this but I don’t believe it. At the end of the day it’s just a manual transmission and seems to enjoy being treated like one. Knoxville gets hot for moths were 100 degrees out here and i don’t trust the factories recommendation just like they tell people to use 0w 08 oils and such it’s all to please governments cafe standards that have 0 respect for the health and longevity of you vehicle. I’m pretty sure the German stuff every one swears by is also a thicker than recommended mtl, I may try it some day but as for now the old school redline gives me a piece of mind and definitely wiped the whiney noise out completely. The fluid I drained was very clear and very thin. Someone has obviously changed it at some point. But as of right now 2 quarts of Mtl is working perfectly! I also spent the weekend scrubbing calipers and fitting some new z26 street warriors on the st as it still had the original rotors with some new cheap pads on when I purchased it. I bled each line to get the 10 year old black factory fluid out and the brakes feel like new. 321$ shipped from rock auto. I had used these brakes
On my 07 eclipse spyder gt and was very happy with them for their rust free and low brake dust performance. I’m not sure there’s a better sporty street brake out there for the money especially if you live where salt destroys things.
