This vehicle is being sold as a track-use/off-road vehicle. The airbag system has been disabled.
This is a rare opportunity to acquire an authentic Ford Performance Racing School Fiesta ST with documented history, extremely low mileage, and provenance tied directly to one of Ford's most recognized performance-driving programs.

That's wild, the only reason I could see someone picking up an Octane Academy vehicle is because of the badging from the school. That said, your asking price is identical to low-mileage models that:
- Can be street registered (iirc the OA cars were never titled)
- Were not tracked, handbrake turned, AutoX'ed for their entire 12,000 mile lifetime

Also, those harnesses if original should likely be replaced as they are probably expired. And should be replaced with ASM enabled belts because of the inherent risk of a 4 Point Harness submarining in an accident. (Which likely would happen at a faster speed on a closed course)

Edit: Also I'd like to point out the seller is a used car dealer and didn't mention the damage he listed on the Ford GT500 forum for this vehicle-
"The Bad: Livery stripped. Suffered damage at some point with LF fender, area the size of a softball under headlight above LF wheel shows flashing, most likely bondo patch with rattle can respray. Minor damage unnoticeable at first glance. Also car has light hail damage on roof and two significant scratches in paint. Wheels show moderate damage. Roll bar padding deteriorated due to age and sun."

Original harnesses were aged out and replaced by aftermarket Schroth 4 point harness that are good thru 2027.

This car is custom, the 6 point cage is completely welded in, and has tube steel gusseting (in lieu of flat plate). Contours are held tight to roofline for access, which required removal of curtain airbags. Handbrake itself is also custom meaning not sold anywhere. Wilwood brake is in addition to and independent with its own master cylinder from stock OEM (thus 2 calipers on rear rotors).

OA livery was removed after program was over. 6 of the 11 cars were sold in 2020/2021 with the original livery, the remaining 5 cars were stripped and sold earlier this year.

If the buyer plans to return to the original livery that is entirely possible as the livery is available. As is now the buyer can control the body prep, the complexity, and quality of the exterior livery application to match his needs. For astute buyers there were running changes to the Octane Academy livery. (Ford Racing vs. Ford Performance, Michelin vs. BFGoodrich, windshield banner)

I thought the cars would be crushed after the Academy because of the liability concern if anything happened with the new owner. I think the Mustangs from the old Sears Point days were crushed because of the same factor.

Original Roll bar padding has all been replaced this week with SFI 45.1 padding exactly in locations and size where original padding was installed.

Serious buyers can PM for all details about everything including my personal take on buying an ex-FPRS car as I have owned one for 2 years now, which in my opinion saw much "harder" duty than this Fiesta (i.e. higher speeds, drag launches).

Also as noted above LF fender had minor damage which was repaired at some point, the fender is the original so the damage itself was not very severe.

FPRS (now Wheelhouse) sells all the fleet vehicles, Explorers, Mustangs, Fiestas, etc. after the program is over.

I have driven, tested, and had this car looked at by several professionals who I know thru my used car business. I can go over every inch of this vehicle with a serious buyer as it is what it is, a lot really good some bad, it boils down to a well maintained fleet vehicle with an incredible (documented) story, which you never see these OA cars for sale. Risk on this sale is minimized by the literal trunkful of NIB spare Motorcraft parts that come with it, and the documented history.
