The clutch pedal has play in it,the clutch is working fine the only issue is the play in the pedal. The car has 83000 miles on it and i believe the clutch hasn't ever been changed any ideas what is happening?

You're posting this in the new member intro section. Might do better in a tech section, but this thread would be a good opportunity to introduce yourself to the folks on the forum.

And just a heads-up your description of "play" is going to be very subjective. It's not likely to get a lot of responses because there's almost no info to work with. Every clutch I've ever used has what I would describe as "play" if it's working fine I probably wouldnt' worry about it.

Bleed the clutch and see if that helps. This car is known to have a slave cylinder that’s prone to failure.
