I found some 2016 struts with lowering springs for sale. I have a 2015, and understand the 2016+ have softer valving. I also figure I would be able to swap them between summer and winter, for extra ride height in the snow.

Question is; will the 2016 struts bolt right up to my 2015?

PS, I did search before posting.

Absofrickenlutley! Might want to replace the rear coil pads also the rear depending on your mileage.

Depends on build date if its a 2016 car. Iirc the first couple months of 2016 builds still had stiffer stuff. Later build 2016 had all changes for the coming up 17' build dates.

(for example my 2016 doesnt have deflectors built into the front triangle window moldings, its a febuary 16 build). Yet a friend who had an august build date 16 has them like a 17 would.

Mine definitely did not feel as soft as my friends did stock for stock. 🤷 couldnt really say why other than the parts used.

From 2/16/16 has the softer suspension.

Truth. I had a tough time deciding between 14-15 and 16+ when I was shopping for my FiST. That was mostly because of the suspension tuning difference. I always figured I could run a lowered setup on used 16+ struts. Excited to see if there's a difference. I can say that light 16" wheels and 50 series tires made a difference in harshness!
