I run 215-45 R17 Bridgestone RE71's on Team Dynamics 17x7.5/4x108/45mm wheels. for autocross.
On hard corners it will rub the wheel liners. On the rear I was able to solve it by using screws to hold back the felt liners where it droops. On the front you can partially mitigate it by using a heat gun to partly melt/form the plastic liner to more closely conform to the wheel well metal. You will still have some rubbing. They also rub a tiny amount on the nuts used for rallyarmor mud flaps. You can solve the problem with stiffer springs/coilovers that keep or raise the ride height. Assuming you drive semi agressively (that is the reason you got this car, yes?) I would not recommend these unless you plan on running a stiffer suspension (I use MeisterR CRD+ Coilovers)
I cannot attest what going to a 40 offset will to as to clearing the outside edge of the fender. I have never had issue with my setup.
On a side note, putting a ' in your post title kills the ability to view this on a computer. Hopefully a moderator can rename it.
