2JR Side Exit Exhaust

Just browsing the forum today and came across the 2JR side exit exhaust, looks legit. I did a ghetto (sawed the stock exhaust at the curve to the back) side exit on my escort ZX2 in high school that worked and sounded pretty good. Just had 2 questions about this one, will it pass smog for VA and is there any kind of exhaust fume/smell inside the car with it?

I can confirm this won't pass safety inspection for the lower half of the state. As for the upper half, I doubt if it can't pass our safety inspection it'll pass smog. I never noticed the smell but the guys I had inspect it told me it had to end behind the rear tires.
