I dont know if any of you guys are still trying to figure this out, but I used a 1/4 inch drill bit to drill out the rivet cores. 1/4 inch sounds big, but believe it or not, its pretty close to the rivet core diameter. Then, just pry the license plate bracket straight forward to disconnect the remaining two connection points. You are left with two holes in the bumper, but given the way Ford installs this thing, that's unavoidable. I have a black FIST so its not as noticeable as it would be with say a white one, but I still may have a body shop fill and paint the holes down the road.
