ABS Programming in FORScan

Hi, I recently had to replace my ABS module and I am trying to program it now. In FORScan I wrote the asbuilt data but I do not have a option for the normal ABS Configuration where I should be able to program the VIN. Am I missing something in FS? I have the OBDLink EX FORScan so I should be able to see this stuff correct? The code I have is U2024:51 for Not Programmed. This is the part number I installed, D2BZ-2C405-E and it was replacing D2BZ-2C405-D so it should be fine.

Does anyone have any pointers?

Don’t have it in front of me and I haven’t done the step you are looking to do, but try looking in “service procedures” (the wrench icon) instead of configuration. Barring that look in the IPC “central configuration” as this car has a lot of the functionality and memory centralized there instead of in the individual modules.

Forscan is also a little incomplete in the features department when it comes to the 2014+ Fiesta so you can try emailing Forscan or check the forums there.

So I figured it out, took a chance and bought the extended license which gave me access to the beta download. The beta gives you access to flashing firmware which can be rather dangerous. Using the firmware update feature I was able to download the firmware for the older hardware revision and flash it to the module. The first time I did this it bricked the module but I chose to try again. The second flash seems to have been the ticket, all DTCs are gone and I was able to verify that the module is working correctly.

I don't like the pedal feel after the replacement though so I need to try bleeding again. It is possible though that I have had brake issues for a long time and I am just forgetting how the pedal originally felt. I can put my foot to the floor with decent resistance and the car comes to a stop much like I would expect.

Oh, one other thing that stuck out to me, the VIN on the old ABS Module did not match my car, and the new one has the same random VIN. I am guessing this just means the VIN isn't crucial to the programming of the module like it is on other cars. When I was flashing the firmware under the current ECU firmware it listed D2BZ-2C405-XX for the current firmware which I take that to mean its just generic.
