Black Box between Fuel Tank and Muffler

Can't find a pic in our favo repair manual, but coming home - bang! and scrape! to home. Dragging a black box - wiring plug and vacuum hoses, PLASTIC of course, with a snapped mounting tab (1 of only 2). Sound like a job for zip ties, but I'll have to do something more involved. Bright side? I'm chasing a noise in the driver rear - just about exactly where this is!

Emissions? Is this the "charcoal canister" of legend? Thanks in advance for any enlightenment.

It drags on the pavement really well!
Thanks for moving this to the right spot - UV-rated zip ties to the rescue. It's more secure than the day it was born'd...

Oh, and obviously the same engineer designing the cat converter bracket studs. Zip ties don't work there; today is brought to you by drill, washer, bolts and nuts
