Bought new from Ford dealer, I have base seats with sunroof.
word, okay. I knew the other way around - Recaros, no sunroof - was possible but I couldn't find anything that suggested Base seats with sunroof. That's a relief for OP, at least.

BadShot, You're absolutely right. If I were having a baby, I'd wait till I gave birth, to start asking questions on how to raise one. I should join a group of mothers helping me along the way, after I have it.
What a mistake. I guess im not allowed to meet a..what I thought was..a friendly group. I thought we were all adults here. Title transfer from state to state takes time, especially during a holiday weekend from bank to dealer.
There BadShot, I gave you a picture. Now sit down, and be quiet. You lost your ability to have an input.
Haha, have a good one man. Good luck to you.

Same. Wish I could have found base seats with no sunroof but the dealership that was selling them brand new for 17,500 only had base seats with sunroof cars and they were all my least favorite color lol. Bought anyways, obviously.

I had to order mine that way, as yes, EVERY single local dealer had either ordered fully loaded, mostly black FiSTs, or every one with at least the sunroof (also mostly black as well).

Downside to this; almost 6 month wait time, and very very little taken off of the list price. :(

I was very lucky, I guess. I got every option except nav - which I don't care about since I have CarPlay - for an absolute steal.

I do get a little bored with the car after 8 or so years, but I'm never going to get a brand new car that's this much fun for that little money ever again, so it stays.

There is a 2000 JDM Toyota Crown wagon with a 2JZ engine and 40k on the clock nearby. It's been taunting me for months.

I've been thinking about this one 1st gen IS300 that was 1UZ & 6spd manual swapped on YouTube... that would make for such a nice car.

100% agree. Small enough to be fun but big enough to be all around practical. Just a wonderful balance struck with these gems.
Ford never really advertised these like they did their trucks and bigger (profit) products. I happened across this when searching each of the "domestic" make sites for comparably sized vehicles. Specs wise, this was in a class of its own. The fact that it had better styling too was (additional) icing on the cake.

I had been considering an Elantra GT N line. I love how they look, very subtle hot hatch. nice looking interior also. 1.6 litre turbo 4 cyl, 200 hp. The more I dug into them though, the reliability is a major issue.

Capri to ST - so I went to a dealership mechanic close buy, their busy for another day, so they cant look into it, but I believe it was tuned by Edge performance, atleast the mechanic from the dealer said its definitely not stock. I have a blue wire, looks new, im not sure what it is, but feeds into the cabin. I was going to get more pictures, but its kinda hot today, and I just got back from S.O.S, just to find out they are booked till Tuesday. 🙄. But found out I definitely need a new clutch, slave or master cylinder. The clutch pedal sits at the floor decompressed longer than I'd like in first gear, but only does it under hard pulls. 56k miles.

You're killing me, Smalls.

How long has the car been in your possession?
You can't take photos of the car because it's kind of hot and you "just got back from S.O.S?"
Who is "S.O.S."?
Who is "Edge Performance," and why do you believe they tuned the car?

What specific questions are you hoping to get answered here?

Help us help you!

That blue wire is just the oxygen sensor, nothing aftermarket. Post more pics when you can and we’ll identify what we can.

So far all I see is a warm air intake🤷🏼‍♂️ I would change the fluid before chucking parts at it... I recommend the KISS method when approaching problems

Right now we can see that the airbox has been replaced with an Injen air filter which has no heat shielding. It is mounted on a red Whoosh intake tube which replaces the stock intake.

Secretary of State "S.o.s" in Michigan are responsible for functions that typically associated with the DMV.

https://www.michigan.gov/sos

https://www.edgeproducts.com/?srsltid=AfmBOopN1PZZuy1jvUtSBeYavhOArLdtQSDFDVPJ3oinYBm1MROovAZd

But again, im not a car person. I provided what I can see. Im taking it to a dealership my mom takes her 98 Vette to, so they can put it on a lift, and go over everything.
1. What I have provided about is what I've observed, and the 0420 code, and my boost starts spooling at 2k i believe, and I have a small drone sound in 2nd gear when accelerating, short but noticeable.
2. I dont know who Edge is, but I provided a website.
3. If my car was just a fiesta SE, would you put an ST sticker on it? Point is.. if Edge does tunes, why would you have a sticker for nothing. Auto sale shops put stickers on cars when they sell them.
I wanted ideas, help, have conversations, find out it what some did..what worked, what didn't. Good parts that builds strength and rigidity.

It took a month to get my car, Navy Federal owned it, bc someone stopped paying. I bought it within 2 days of the car arriving to the dealer in Michigan. Thats it. I've had it for a day.

Clutch pedal sticking down is generally caused by the slave cylinder, which is inside the transmission housing. It's one of the common things that happens on a Fiesta ST. Since replacing it requires pulling the transmission, it's worth having the clutch and brake hydraulic fluid flushed and replaced and bled. Often that temporizes things to where you can keep driving the car for a year or more before having to replace the slave cylinder. Once things are set right it's worth doing that hydraulic fluid change every 30,000 miles.
