Has anyone installed the bravo alpha intercooler. If so, what did you do with the splash guard?

The one directly underneath the intercooler. It seems like the nipples on the bottom of the intercooler don't allow it to get tucked above the bumper like it was

I cut the brackets that hold the shield to the radiator support off, I cut holes into the shield too. The long rectangular shapes I cut out as well.
