Catback exhaust

Going to order the thermal r&d catback exhaust soon. i have a 2015 fiesta st but it asks to add the 3” adapter. Adds about $80 to the total. Is it necessary to add it or do i not need it?

do you have an aftermarket 3" high flow downpipe? then yes.

i think the OEM downpipe exits at 2.5" but I'm not sure. if you shoot Ron an email at whoosh he will confirm either way.

Only add the 3" adapter if you're mating the catback to a 3" downpipe. If you're still using the factory downpipe, do not add the adapter.

Also, shameless plug, but I'm selling a CPE catback if you're interested for $550 shipped.
